HOLY GUACAMOLE, we’re in the thick of the busy busy wedding season here in Nashville… I’m super grateful to be REALLY busy right now (see you in the winter, friends & family!!) and trying to keep up with showing you guys some of my latest work– especially ones that make my heart flutter.
If you’re a follower of my work, you can probably tell that moody images SLAY ME. I’m not a “light and airy” photographer/editor– I MUCH prefer some moodiness and contrast to convey emotions in my Nashville wedding photography. I’m a sucker for the lighting before and after a good storm, as well as a room dimly lit by a window. Hence, you will see why I LOVE this wedding at Riverwood Mansion so much.
Rain on a wedding day is never an easy pill to swallow for a bride, especially when you are planning an outdoor ceremony– but Lauren was cool, calm, and collected. We thankfully got all of our portraits in before the storm rolled in, and luckily Riverwood Mansion in Nashville TN was able to keep the guests dry while we waited out the storm!! It was still trying to sprinkle just before the ceremony, but the fabulous staff at Riverwood Mansion helped with getting the ceremony site ready and sat quickly in case the storm decided to make another appearance (it didn’t, thankfully!!). The remaining clouds allowed the perfect amount of light to come through while the ceremony progressed. I remember being giddy during the ceremony because I knew the resulting edits were going to be incredible!!!
Lauren & Jeff were such incredible clients ( & friends!). So laid back, so fun. They had a freakin’ mariachi band entertaining their guests before and after their ceremony. HOW COOL IS THAT!?
Venue: Riverwood Mansion
Second Shooter: Darcy Ferris (Hollaaa!)
