Nashville Wedding Photographer Laura K. Allen | Iceland & Ireland Destination Photography

September 4, 2017

I’m so excited to share a “few” photos from mine & Michael’s trip to Iceland & Ireland in July!! First stop, ICELAND!:

We went on the “I love Reykjavic” walking tour… It’s a must do!!

This photo is pretty lame until you realize there is an Army figurine on the top left corner of the door frame.  These little dudes (along with other cartoon figurines) are superglued all over the city and it was fun to find them!!

101 Cats

We enjoyed our Viking drafts!

Oh. my. gosh…… GO TO GLOW. SUCH GOOD FOOD!!!

Thingvellire.

I brought my tripod! Every photo that you see of both Michael and I in this blog was taken by me and a delayed timer on my camera!

The Icelandic ponies made me happy!

GEYSERS!!!

The beautiful Gulfoss.

Our first trip to Seljalandsfoss… This was taken at about 11:oo PM!  It doesn’t get super dark in the summer!

One of my favorite waterfalls, Skogafoss. <3 The hike to the top was a good workout aaaaaannnnnddd the photo below was the only time I purposely looked down. WHOA!

The trek out to the crashed US military plan seemed to get longer as you went along!! It was WELL WORTH IT though!!

We may have had a few outtakes on this one ^^^^

Dyrhólaey!

Reynisfjara <3

Vik.  The cutest town and the easiest to pronounce!

PUFFINS!!!!!!!!!

These flower fields were a few miles east of Vik! <3

Random, glroious waterfall… In someone’s backyard. NBD.

The most strenuous hike we did was en route to Svartisfoss… but SO WORTH IT!

These photos don’t do it justice…. It’s a work of art!!!

The wind was crazy!!!

Jokulsarlon!

Seal!!

We made our way back towards Reykjavic and stopped at Seljalandsfoss during the daytime hours… It was quite busy with tourists but I’m glad we got to see how she looked with some sunshine!

We went on a puffin boat tour. LOVED IT. I love puffins!

We landed in Dublin and then headed over to Galway! I loved this city’s charm! <3

So y’all may have seen my previous blog post about Lauren & Jimmy’s Ireland Wedding.  We went back to Dublin on our second night in Ireland to meet up with Lauren & Jimmy at the pub where they met: Palace Bar.  This amazing group was playing traditional Irish music and Michael and I had a BLAST watching them perform in the corner of the bar!

The next day we scoped out the grounds in Trim.  In the photo below you can see St. Patricks and Trim Castle (where they filmed a lot of Braveheart!).

Michael and I laughed real hard at the diagram below…

Bective Abbey!

After Lauren & Jimmy’s wedding we headed north to Belfast.

This city has been trying to overcome a recent religious war between the Protestants and the Catholics.

Peace. <3

The murals were UNREAL!

We headed north along the coast to see Carrick-a-rede (which was closed womp womp), Giant’s Causeway, and Dunluce Castle!!

Can we do it again? It flew by so quick!!
